I love that people are getting pissed about this. You really think this movie would make ANY money if it didn’t have a big name in it? Really? I guarantee you that one of the only reasons non-musical freaks will see this movie is because of Taylor Swift. And even a lot of music theater freaks will see it just to make fun of TSwift. Any movie rendition of this play will have the people who love it saying “oh the play is so much better omg ugh” so shut the fuck up and MOVE ON.
Also, how can you judge Taylor Swift on this, yet you haven’t seen her perform the actual role? She might surprise you.
For example, I didn’t start REALLY insulting The Hunger Games until I had read it.Um. Do you see any other names up there, perhaps?
Amanda Seyfried? Anne Hathaway? Hugh Jackman? Helena Bonham Carter? Russell Crowe? Sacha Baron Cohen?
